A BRIEF SURVEY ON COGNITIVE MAPS AS HUMANE REPRESENTATIONS

Visualisation offers a huge potential for representing information and knowledge. A number of different proposals from diverse research areas have been over the time presented as techniques that may be used for sharing information and knowledge. This paper briefly introduces such proposals by providing an introduction to cognitive maps as humane representations, as they provide in their alternative representations, a tool for information and knowledge sharing. The paper ends to suggest further research in order to develop graphical translations between those different representations. keywords: computer-human interface
