Optimization Model for Maintenance Spare Parts Inventory System with Lateral Transshipments

Under the premise of the different base inventory level and transportation strategies,plus the adjacent principle adopted by transshipment point,this paper presents a model for spare parts maintenance with lateral transshipment,provides the probability expression of demands fulfillment by inventory point itself and by transshipment,and gives backorders. Based on these,an optimization model is proposed with waiting time and its own support level limit as constraint conditions,and with minimizing the system total cost as its objective. The model algorithm is also constructed. Finally a numerical example is presented to demonstrate the validity of the algorithm and correctness of the model.
