Boundary elements on a distributed array processor

Abstract The implementation of boundary element methods on a distributed array processor (the ICL DAP) is studied here with reference to a simple example problem from potential theory. Relevant features of the high-level language DAP FORTRAN are introduced as necessary. The advantages and disadvantages of using the DAP for such problems are discussed.
