Equivalent Mechanical Model for Spacecraft with Liquid Sloshing

Under the considerations of liquid surface tension that affects liquid sloshing, the equivalent dynamic model in type of space pendulum for three axis orientation satellite during disturbance of two dimensions translation and oscillation is constructed by using equivalence criterion for dynamic equations. The main parameters of equivalent pendulum are derived and analyzed both under translation and oscillation disturbance. The computation result shows that sloshing characteristic has a harmful influence to the stability of attitude control system while the liquid surface tension is under consideration.
