THERMAL INTEGRATION OF COMBUSTION-BASED ENERGY GENERATORS BY HEAT RECIRCULATION

Keywords: thermal integration, heat recirculation, combustion, efficiency Summary. In many combustion-based energy generators heat recirculation is needed in order to increase their thermal effi-ciency and ensure sufficiently high fuel oxidation temperatures. The present article provides the results of experiments of a heat recirculation phenomenon by using a set-up consisting of an electric heater coupled to a gas-gas recuperator. The ex-perimental characteristics of this heat-recirculating system are presented as the effect of the power of the heater (P
