X-ray digital radiography of operating aero-engines with a universal trigger module

It is important and meaningful to measure exact geometry and position of the internal structure in the aero-engine under various working statuses to improve the performance and efficiency of aero-engine. In this work, we introduce the x-ray digital radiography system to monitor the aero-engine internal structure changes under different rotating speed. For synchronized acquired process of radiography system, a flexible universal trigger module is designed to control the image data acquisition process on the specified rotary position of the operating aero-engine with the image detector and accelerator based X-ray source. In the paper, the details about the universal trigger module design and the data calibration process will be introduced.
