Cost-effective millimeter wave-to-optical conversion with patch antenna and MMIC chipset for RoF's uplink

A cost-effective circuitry for the RoF's base station uplink channel including millimeter-wave microstrip antenna, down-converting MMIC chipset and low-cost Fabri-Perot laser diode is proposed and simulated in detail.
