Integration of Croatian intermodal network in the Trans-European (TEN) network

To provide safe, fluent and efficient flow of goods on the Trans-European network (TEN) the intermodal terminals in Croatia have been ranked and defined. Within the research, the terminals have been divided into three groups based on their common characteristics: short sea shipping (SSS), inland waterway terminals (IWT) and continental terminals (CT). In every group the terminals, are evaluated based on predefined criteria. After evaluation process, the sensitivity analysis is performed so that the results could be re-evaluated based on the possible changes of criteria priority. Through this process all the results are aggregate so that overall analysis of geographical locations, gravity areas and competitiveness can be analyzed. The result of such synthesis is a number of conclusions that positively affect intermodal transport in Croatia and its integration in the Trans-European network.
