Application of Empirical Wavelet Transform in Vibration Signal Analysis of UHV Shunt Reactor

In order to effectively extract the vibration signal characteristics of UHV shunt reactor, a vibration signal feature extraction method for UHV shunt reactor based on empirical wavelet transform is proposed. Firstly, the EWT method is used to decompose the transformer vibration signals of different working conditions into several empirical wavelet function (EWF) components. Then, the Hilbert spectra of each component are calculated, and the frequency characteristic information of the transformer vibration signals in different working conditions is visually reflected by the time-frequency representation. The simulation results show that the method can effectively extract the vibration signal characteristics of UHV reactors, and can correctly identify the different operating states of UHV shunt reactors based on the extracted feature vectors. This method provides a new means for the feature extraction, safe operation monitoring and fault diagnosis of UHV shunt reactors.
