Sinopsis taxonómica de las moscas parasitoides (Diptera: Tachinidae) de Colombia

Tachinidae (Diptera, Muscomorpha, Calyptratae) es un grupo monofiletico y altamente diverso. Cuenta con alrededor de 8.500 especies descritas y constituye la segunda familia de moscas con mayor numero de especies. Los taquinidos son parasitoides y atacan una amplia variedad de artropodos, principalmente insectos fitofagos de los ordenes Lepidoptera, Coleoptera (Scarabaeidae, Melolonthidae y Chrysomelidae), Hymenoptera (“Symphyta”), Hemiptera (Heteroptera) y Orthoptera. Con el objetivo de aportar al conocimiento de Tachinidae en el pais, y establecer un marco basico para la taxonomia del grupo como uno de los soportes fundamentales del manejo integrado de plagas, se realizo una sinopsis taxonomica de Tachinidae de Colombia. Se revisaron mas de 1000 especimenes y se reconocieron cuatro subfamilias, 24 tribus, 94 generos y 104 especies. Se registran por primera vez para el pais una subfamilia, ocho tribus y 39 generos; ademas, se proporcionan nuevos reportes de hospedantes para 25 generos, entre ellos varios asociados a plantas de cultivo.
