A new method of power system state estimation based on wide-area measurement system

According to the different forms of Jacobian matrix, three new methods of power system state estimation based on wide-area measurement system (WAMS) are proposed in the paper, in which the state variable measurements of phasor measurement unit (PMU) are transformed into branch current measurements correspondingly. Besides, the measurement noise is produced by adding random error to the true values of the measurement, which makes the standard deviation of each measured value disparate. That is, the weight of each measurement is different, so the estimated precision is improved highly. At the end of the paper, two examples are presented to test the new methods.
