Anaphoric Cues for Coherence Relations

In this paper , we focuson the way how the rhetoricaldiscoursestructureof texts, in termsof coherence relations,anddifferenttypesof referringexpressions dependon eachother. In particular, we concentrate on the impact the resolutionof anaphorahason the derivation of coherencerelations. We introducean algorithmwhichcombinessuchanalysesandprovide a preliminaryevaluationof its empiricalvalidity.
