The first application of array antenna

The world's first application of an array antenna is described in this historical paper. Wireless wizard Guglielmo Marconi was the first to use arrays as the transmitting antennas for the epoch making transatlantic wireless communication experiment of December 1901. This successful use is outlined in this paper.
