Noah's Choice: The Future of Endangered Species

Worldwide scientists believe that millions of natures species are on the verge of being replaced by billions of hungry people asphalt brick glass and useless eroded red clay baked by a harsh tropical sun. They describe the happening as an "extinction spasm" and many postulate that millions of species will be extinct in the next few decades. It is noted that this extinction occurs at an accelerated rate: humans are altering the face of the planet faster than ever and these alterations change the areas where species live. This process called habitat transformation abruptly converts a place to which creatures have adapted over millennia into strange hostile territory. According to Edward O. Wilson a Harvard biologist a conservative estimate of the existing worldwide rate of extinction is 27000 species/year. In view of this several proper responses to the problem are recommended.
