Development of Eco-Driving Support Function

This paper explains the concept and provides a summary of the eco-driving support function for the purpose of improving fuel economy through use of the navigation system. Two approaches are necessary to support eco-driving. The first approach is to teach the eco-driving method. The other is to create an incentive for eco-driving. Therefore this paper introduces the "Eco-TRIAL function" as an incentive for eco-driving.
