ISO 9000 품질경영시스템 도입의 성과

This paper is intended to grasp the effects of ISO 9000 series of quality standards which has been introduced to strengthen the internal competivity by Korea industries. Likert's five-scale method was used and the contents of the questionnaire consisted of Crosby's development stages of quality management which were most applied to measure what differences of effects there were between before and after ISO 9000 certificate was introduced in quality management. What has been found out is as follows. First, the analysis has shown that the industries were motivated to introduce quality management system because of the request of their customers and buyers, increased sales, and in order to strengthen their competivity, renew their image and find out new markets through the changes of quality management system. The conventional quality management system and ISO 9000 series of quality standards are thought to have much in common. Most of all, the introduction of ISO 9000 series has made the executives realize the importance of quality. Second, the differences between before and after ISO 9000 quality system were introduced can be summarized as follows. T-test of the correspondent sample means has revealed a very significant difference in every category. The means of the scores of the five categories was 2.34 before the ISO 9000 certificate and 3.54 after the ISO 9000 certificate. The former was on the second stage of awakening and the latter on the third and fourth stage of enlightment and wisdom, which showed the greater effect of quality management maturity.
