An Analysis of the role of engineering maintenance during commissioning activities: a case study

One of the major advances in the field of design engineering is applied to commissioning, to the accompaniment of engineering well planned, documented and managed, aiming to match and transfer systems of the enterprise to its respective end user in operating conditions and appropriate safety given the project. This study aims to analyze the importance of the performance of maintenance engineering for the commissioning activities, through a case study in two different companies that have undertaken projects where rework, lost productivity and increased initial cost of the work occurring in the first case were minimized in the second case, where the transfer to operation was based on reliability. Keywords : Commissioning, Conditioning, Preservation.
