Computer-Based Mathematics Learning

AbstractThe research on computer-based mathematics learning was examined in the context of constructivist learning and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Standards. The reviewed studies examined the effectiveness of computer software in the three key categories of programming, computer-assisted instruction, and tools. Recommendations emphasized the need for further study of instructional design that best utilizes computers and of use of the Internet in mathematics.
