The Megalithic Unit of Length

SUMMARY A large number of megalithic circle diameters is now available. The analysis shows that the unit suggested for the radius (2-72 ft) can be accepted without hesitation. It also shows that there is a marked increase in the accuracy with increasing circle diameter. The distances between stones in rows and alignments are also examined. Here again the same unit appears but it seems that in a significant number of cases the half unit was also used.
