SNOW-TRANSPORTATION CAPACITY OF SNOW-CONVEYANCE-GUTTER SYSTEMS AND AN IMPROVEMENT OF THE CAPACITY BY COATING WITH RESINOID

The usual techniques, of snow-removal with gasoline-mobile machineries and snow-melting by means of ground water, have some problems, such as energy-consumption and ground-settlement.To overcome above problems, the snow-conveyance-gutter systems by using surface water have become a centre of attraction. However, the snow-transportation capacity, with which flow deischarge shall dispose of snow casted into the gutter systems, is not clear. The objects of this paper are as follows, 1. to make clear the snow-transportation capacity of the gutter systems by site-observations and experiments, 2. to improve the capacity by coating the surface of gutters with resinoid.
