Analysis on application of lateral tooth steam seal in domestic 300 MW steam turbine

Taking the reformation of terminal steam seal of the domestic 300 MW unit turbine in a power plant as example,the deficiencies of the traditional steam seal were analyzed.The features of the lateral tooth steam seal were introduced.After the terminal steam seal of the steam turbine in the power plant was transformed into lateral tooth steam seal,the steam leakage of the terminal shaft seal of the turbine decreased by 0.45～0.85 t/h,the micro-water content in lubrication oil decreased significantly,the efficiency of HP and IP cylinder was improved,and the steam consumption of the unit was reduced.
