Dynamic Modeling of Bidirectional Inductive Power Transfer Systems

Inductive power transfer technology has received much attention recently. In this paper, a detailed dynamic model based on extended describing function technique is presented for a double-sided LCC compensation bidirectional inductive power transfer (BIPT) system. The nonlinear large-signal model and linearized small-signal model around the steady state operation point is derived. Based on the model, the controller is designed for power flow control. Simulation verification results are presented to validate the model and designed controller.
