Coplanar strips interdigital delay line for instantaneous frequency measurement systems

The authors have studied a coplanar interdigital delay line with different finger lengths. Results of characteristic impedance and group delay are presented. Measurement results agree well with simulation and the transmission line seems attractive for the design of coplanar instantaneous frequency measurement subsystem (IFM). A prototype system is briefly discussed. (4 pages)
