Joint Adjustment of Emergency Demand Response Considering Data Center and Air-Conditioning Load

Nowadays, the demand side responds to the emergency demand response signal mainly through starting backup generators, which is inefficient from an economic point of view and has a negative impact on the environment. A joint adjustment scheme focusing on the adjustable data center load and central air-conditioning load is proposed, under the constraints of indoor temperature comfort level and service quality of data network workload. The purpose of the scheme is to maximize social welfare while the load reduction target is achieved by flexibly adjusting the terminal temperature set point of central air-conditioners and the number of active servers. The proposed scheme provides a reference for the flexible joint adjustment of multiple demand response resources in the scenario of emergency demand response.
