Multiport equivalent circuit model of MIM capacitors

A lumped-element equivalent circuit model of multiport MMIC overlay capacitors is derived by means of a planar approach. Closed expressions for the equivalent circuit elements are proposed and the validity of the model is successfully compared with experimental data. The flexibility of this equivalent circuit makes it suitable for implementation in CAD packages.
