The ground state of a spin glass

Accompanying papers calculate the degeneracy of the ground state of a spin glass. These ground states may be accessible or inaccessible to one another. It is argued that the procedure offered by Edwards and Anderson (1975, 1976) implicitly assumes inaccessibility, and a case can be made for the correctness of this assumption. It implies that the entropy calculated by these authors differs from that based on the accessibility hypothesis, and at absolute zero temperature this is given by kappa lnN where N is the number of ground states.
