The characteristics of industrial structure of Baiyin City were as following: The attribute of the evolution about industrial structure was non-natural and non-historic; The overall level of industrial structure was backward and uneven; The main driving force of city's economic development came from secondary and tertiary industries; Coordination between the level of urbanization and the level of industrialization was lack; The overall transformation ability of the three industrial structure was weak; The industrial structure was single; Dislocation between industrial structure and employment structure was high; Agriculture was based on traditional agriculture oriented structure; Industrial structure was mainly heavy industry, based on energy and raw materials; The development level of service industry was low and fluctuating.
