Recent Operation of the Acid Plant At Naoshima

The Naoshima Smelter Refinery of Mitsubishi Materials Corporation has two single-contact type acid plants associated with scrubbing facilities for tail gas. These acid plants treat offgases from the Mitsubishi continuous copper smelting and converting furnaces, the anode furnaces and the decomposer of spent acid.
