Creating custom SGML DTDs for documentation products

A case is presented for cost-effectively creating custom DTDs for an organization by non-SGML experts using tools that automatically create DTDs from tagged text. Such tools make it practical and easy to create DTDs without having to hire consultants or invest heavily to develop internal SGML expertise.
