A simple model of 90Zr

Anomalous properties of the spectrum of 90Zr, notably associated with the electromagnetic and nuclear (p,p') transitions to the low-lying 2+ states, are explained in terms of a weak coupling model built upon the ground and 2+ states in 88Sr, the latter being treated as vibration states.
