Three dimensional finite element in orthodontic research field

In recent years,3D finite element analysis has become an important research method in orthodontic materials research and development.In orthodontic biomechanics,this method is mainly used in the research of instantaneous rotation center position of the teeth and jaw under orthodontic force,the research of the stress of periodontal tissues under the corrective force,the analysis of orthodontic appliance's mechanical property,the research of the Stomatognathic's function,the research of growth and development.This paper is an overview of 3D finite element analysis' application in orthodontics.
