Interactive data division’s research based on triangular mesh

To effectively improve the efficiency and accuracy of the triangular mesh model data segmentation, an interactive data segmentation algorithm is designed based on the separation angle tracking regional boundaries method. On the basis of the automatically extracting the triangle mesh model feature, the start and end points of the regional boundaries are interactively selected meanwhile a direction vector is established by the start and end points. Along the direction vector, other boundary points to be searched by the method of the separation angle tracking until the start and end points both belong to the same triangle. According to the features of the triangular mesh, the new regional boundaries smoothing algorithm and domain vertex searching method are designed. The accuracy and effectiveness of the algorithms are tested by the partial typical calculating examples.
