The invention discloses a method for stopping descending of foundation suspension type concrete impermeable walls. The method includes performing hole enlarging construction on slots of descending stopping portions at the bottoms of the impermeable walls when the bottoms of the constructed foundation suspension type concrete impermeable walls reach design elevations; enlarging the bottoms of the slots until the sizes of the bottoms of the slots are 1.5-2 times the widths of the slots of the impermeable walls; enabling descending stopping piers to stop the suspension type concrete impermeable walls from slipping and sinking. The descending stopping piers are formed by the slots of the descending stopping portions after concrete is poured. The method has the advantage that the reliable impermeability of the foundation suspension type concrete impermeable walls can be guaranteed by the aid of the method.
