The design of U Disk autorun based on Linux

Creating the U Disk's startup disk based on Linux is practical for the system maintenance and the development personnel. People only need to carry a USB device and then will be able to have an operating system that belongs to them anytime and anywhere. This paper focuses on the design of U Disk autorun based on Linux. It includes four functional modules of grub, kernel, initrd and rootfs, their function characteristic, the interrelated relates, and methods of each module's design. Also it simply introduces the processing of debugging errors. The designed U Disk can load Linux installation files, add the skipping procedure into the grub startup guide module and make the U Disk's boot disk jump to the start guide files of the installation program. It will finish the operating system's installment function.
