Improved Performance of a Dynamic Voltage Restorer Using Hybridized Cascaded Multilevel Inverter for Solar PV Grid Connected System

This paper presents the enhanced execution of a “Dynamic voltage restorer” (DVR) by utilizing Hybridized Cascaded 17 level symmetric Multilevel. In this work, dynamic voltage restorer (DVR), for improving voltage quality at three-phase fault conditions is presented. The DVR acts as voltage controller for protecting the load voltage during short circuit fault condition in photovoltaic fed grid connected system, in addition to this, the H-Bridge yields a 5-level output from the 3-level input which it achiever by a bidirectional switch which acts as the middle motivation between twofold DC source. This paper presents the design of 17-level MLI is designed to execute the Sag or swell are identified in a transmission line and the voltage is infused from the inverter through a transformer, DVR is validated on MATLAB-SIMULINK. It is clear from the results that a multilevel inverter can produce a higher number of output voltage levels with much lower THDs. This, in turn, leads to energy saving and better power quality.
