THE TENTH RAND COMPUTING SYMPOSIUM

Abstract : The Tenth Annual RAND Computer Symposium held in Santa Monica, 13 November 1967, dealt with the single topic, 'The Teaching of Computing.' During the seven-hour session, the attendees discussed primarily the people to whom computing should be taught; the grade level at which computer education should begin; the training of programmers and those who will teach computing; and the advice that should be given to high schools, junior colleges, and trade schools to help them initiate computer education programs.
