The paper analyzes the kinematics features and the relative muscle sEMG in the phase of drive technique in rowing for the Chinese excellent rowing athlete.The results show that 1. It costs the athlete 0.8 second to drive and it covers 70%of the time to drive to be vertical with the boat.2.The muscle activity sequence in drive are quadriceps femoris→rectus femoris→gastronomies→latissimus dorsi→biceps brachii→rectus abdominis.3.The muscle load percentage are biceps brachiiquadriceps femorislatissimus dorsirectus femorisgastrocnemiusrestus abdominis.aEMG results are latissimus dorsiquadriceps femorisgastronomiesbiceps brachiirectus femorisrectus abdominis.The study implies a bigger percentage in the former phase of drive.At the same time,latissimus dorsi, quadriceps femoris and biceps brachii play important roles in driving.Finally,the movements and muscles of the rowing racer are in coordination except for a slight open of his trunk.
