Application of near infrared spectroscopic techniques on the fidelity identification of tea quality.

It is necessary to develop techniques for the fidelity identification of tea quality.Near infrared spectroscopic(NIRS)techniques, coupling with different chemometrics models of partial least squares algorithm(PLS)and standard algorithm, was employed as a quick and nondestructive method for fidelity identification of tea quality. The results showed that the model of PLS was better than that of standard algorithm.Depending on the collected NIR data of 59 tea samples with different regions, assortment and manufacturing processing, the fidelity of tea qualities could be identified clearly by the chemometrics models of PLS.NIR techniques coupling with the chemometrics models of PLS was suggested to be a quick and precise method for the fidelity identification of tea quality.
