Larval white perch, Morone americana, and larval striped bass, M. saxatilis, are difficult to distinguish morphologically in the size range 8 mm to 20 mm total length. Column acrylamide electrophoresis of the proteins produced three major bands for white perch and two major bands for striped bass.
