A simulation testbed for the analysis of short-term adaptation mechanisms in the ATDMA system

Testbeds are an effective means for assessing the traffic performance of the radio access design in advanced radio systems. In addition, testbeds have little alternatives as analysis tools for such a complex design. The paper describes a simulation testbed aimed at analysing the performance of adaptive mechanisms in the radio access of UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunication System) developed in the RACE R2084 project (ATDMA).
