A New Robust Control by Active Disturbance Rejection Control Applied on Wind Turbine System Based on Doubly Fed Induction Generator DFIG

The main purpose of this work is to control the active and reactive stator powers generated by the doubly fed induction generator DFIG used in wind turbine energy conversion in an independent manner by acting on the rotor side converter “RSC”, and maintain the DC bus constant and ensure a unity power factor by acting on the grid side converter “GSC”. In this context a new robust control has been proposed known as ADRC or Active Disturbance Rejection Control based on the extended state observer ESO which is the key that makes possible the estimation and cancellation of the total effect of various uncertainties in real time. The MPPT strategy has been developed in order to adapt the speed of the turbine to the wind speed, in order to maximize the converted power. The performance of the proposed control is simulated and tested with MATLAB/SIMULINK.
