The deficiency of traditional assembly sequence planning was analyzed.The target function that takes the stability of sub-assembly into consideration was established and the assembly sequence planning was carried out by adopting the genetic algorithm having memory ability.While the primary population is forming,the making up composition of feasible assembly sequence for population improvement that having the knowledge of expert could be inputted.During the making up courses of various populations the obtained current optimal feasible assembly sequence was retained from beginning to end so as to ensure the algorithm be finally converged to an optimal or a closer solution.The effectiveness of this method was explained at last by living examples.
