Modeling methods for twisted blades of fluid machinery

Three-dimensional solid modeling of twisted blades is the key to achieve impeller fluid flow forecast,graphical numerical control programming and mold design of vane type fluid machinery.To achieve complex twisted blades solid modeling,bicubic Bezier surface is introduced in this paper.Blades data points are obtained by discreting blade flow lines.Control points are determined by inversion calculation value points of blade.To test the effectiveness of the proposed method,taking a mixed flow pump impeller as an example,its three-dimensional modeling of impeller has been su-ccessfully achieved in the Pro/E software platform by the proposed method.This laid the foundation of impeller flow field of computational fluid dynamics and computerized numerical control machining impeller in future.
