Lotka's Law, Price's Urn, and Electronic Publishing

The thesis of this brief piece is that electronic publishing in its present and future Internet or Internet-like format is sufficiently different that electronic publishing will burgeon and that it will fundamentally change the nature of scholarly pubishing. Why ? The way to answer that question and thus to present the thesis is the recall of Derk Price's (1976) urn model of Lotka's (1926) law
