The influence of deprivation on young parents

Young pregnancy remains high on the UK’s public health agenda. This article reviews current literature and considers the role of school nurses in helping to reduce adverse outcomes of young pregnancy. Reviewing work from the author’s PhD research, attention will be directed to how school nurses can intervene and help improve pregnancy and parenthood experiences for young people.
