System reliability-redundancy allocation by evolutionary computation

This paper addresses the system reliability-redundancy allocation problem by resorting to three evolutionary computation methods, namely genetic algorithm, cuckoo optimization algorithm with penalty function, and penalty guided stochastic fractal search. The numerical results are compared in order to highlight the differences in the solution methods.
