Diesel Particulate Filters

Diesel engines have the highest efficiency of all combustion engines. Therefore they are widely used in vehicles, machinery and stationary equipment. Extensive discussions revolving around particulate matter and particularly the harmful aerosol and particulate emissions from incomplete combustion processes (‘soot’) have made purification of diesel engine exhaust a priority in environmental laws and created public awareness of these problems.
