Systems Integration and Web Services

Despite several outstanding issues, Web services technology is ideal for solving systems integration problems. Systems integration refers to the seamless interconnection of data and control flows among legacy and other applications to support transaction-intensive processes. This is a significant issue for organizations as they attempt to reduce cycle times, face increasing competition, and respond to demands for improved customer satisfaction.
