Review of Chatter Studies in Cold Rolling

The path of studies on chatter in cold rolling process is reviewed.The kinds of vibration,the vertical,horizontal and axial vibration of rolls,the longitudinal and transversal vibration of strip,the torsional and axial vibration of main driving system are given.The main influencing factors about chatter as well as research methods and control measures concerning chatter and achievements obtained in this domain are summarized.The direction of further investigation is given on the basis of analyzing the disadvantages of current research.
