At present the double pier of continuous rigid frame bridge with high piers over 60 m usually need to design tie beam lock between piers in order to reduce bridge pier slenderness ratio and increase stiffness to prevent instability in the construction.The common used form of connecting lines are ordinary concrete beam and prestressed reinforced concrete beam.But after the bridge is built,in order to make rigid frame pier not to produce internal force because of displacement of main girder,so the general rigid frame bridge main pier tie beams are temporary locking structure.The size of tie beam structure is small,but it will cause big troubles in the construction.The paper discusses the use of steel support locking structure instead of the steel concrete beam to accelerate the construction progress and reduce the difficulty of construction in Gaoguohe Bridge's 13th main pier construction of Sijian Highway 11th contract section.
